Many people feel an increased sensitivity during fasting. A certain feeling of happiness and creative, cheerful relaxation is often noticeable. The distance from everyday life provides space for fundamental questions about life. In a quiet atmosphere, it becomes possible to take up buried feelings and thoughts and to deal with inner concerns without time pressure. Our counselling and psychotherapeutic team will accompany you through these experiences. One-to-one counselling, discussion groups and exercises show you ways of dealing with important life issues and developing a mindful attitude to life. Meditative programmes and church services provide strength and inner peace.

Anne Hartmann is a qualified theologian and analytical psychologist (in training) and leads the pastoral care and psychology department. She and her team have been offering courses on mindfulness, resilience, burnout prevention, menopause and crisis management for many years. In her experience, a stay at the clinic is so beneficial for many people because they gradually gain distance from everyday life. ‘This distance enables reflection, contemplation and reorientation with regard to one's own life situation,’ says Anne Hartmann. ‘We accompany our guests in one-to-one discussions or in groups, in courses, discussion groups and meditative programmes. Together with the knowledge of the various experts at the clinic and the effects of therapeutic fasting, this can result in a helpful and effective experience that provides strength, confidence and new perspectives for everyday life.’

OFFERS IN SILENCE

Many people come to us with a great need for rest and want to use their stay to recover from the hustle and bustle, overstimulation, and many external influences of everyday life. Therapeutic fasting can further heighten one's sensitivity and desire for silence. Therefore, in our house, you will find various opportunities to experience healing silence during your stay. Our accompanying program includes activities such as a day of silence, midday prayers in silence, and silent meditations. For even more peace and quiet, even during fasting meals, we recommend fasting in silence.
