HOLISTIC FASTING FOR BLOOD PRESSURE
REGULATE IN A GENTLE WAY
High blood pressure (hypertension) is a common condition in which the pressure of the blood in the arteries is permanently elevated. Normal blood pressure is often expressed as 120/80 mmHg (millimeters of mercury). High blood pressure (hypertension) is present when the blood pressure is permanently above 140/90 mmHg.
The most common factors that lead to high blood pressure are:
- Genetics and familial predisposition: A family predisposition to high blood pressure can increase the risk of developing the condition. If close relatives, such as parents or siblings, have high blood pressure, there is an increased likelihood that other family members may also be affected.
- Unhealthy lifestyle: Risk factors include a high-fat diet, lack of exercise, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption and stress.
- Influence of other diseases: In addition, certain conditions such as kidney disease, thyroid problems or hormonal imbalances can also contribute to high blood pressure. In recent years, nocturnal breathing interruptions (sleep apnoea) have also increasingly come into focus as a cause.
There are two main types of hypertension:
- Primary (essential) hypertension is the most common form and develops gradually over a long period of time without a clear identifiable cause.
- Secondary hypertension, on the other hand, is a result of an underlying disease or medical condition and occurs more suddenly.
Hypertension is often referred to as the “silent killer” because in most cases it causes no obvious symptoms. People can live with hypertension for years without realizing it. However, over time, untreated high blood pressure can lead to serious health problems such as heart attack, stroke, heart failure, kidney failure and other complications.
HOLISTIC FASTING CURE
THE FASTING SOLUTION TO A HEALTHY HEART
Therapeutic fasting is a holistic approach that has become increasingly important in recent years as a potential method of supporting the treatment of high blood pressure. It is a time-limited phase in which no solid food is consumed. Instead, fresh juices, broths or special fasting soups are consumed. Here are some of the benefits of therapeutic fasting for high blood pressure:
Weight reduction:
Fasting can lead to effective weight loss, which in turn can reduce blood pressure, as excess body weight is a known risk factor for high blood pressure.
Improved blood circulation:
Fasting can improve vascular function and optimize blood flow, which can have a positive effect on blood pressure.
Stress reduction and relaxation:
Therapeutic fasting can have a relaxing effect and reduce stress, which can also have a positive effect on blood pressure.
Anti-inflammatory effects:
Fasting helps to reduce inflammation in the body, which can be involved in the development of high blood pressure.
Although therapeutic fasting appears promising, it is important to emphasize that it should not be a sole treatment for high blood pressure, nor a substitute for prescribed tablets or other medication. It should always be carried out in consultation with a qualified doctor who can adequately assess the patient's state of health. High blood pressure often requires a combination of lifestyle changes, medical treatment and possibly other therapeutic interventions.
